Künstlerhaus MousonturmDas Künstlerhaus Mousonturm in Frankfurt a.M. wurde 1988 unter der Leitung von Dieter Buroch in einem denkmalgeschützten expressionistischen Industriebau eröffnet. Heute gehört der Mousonturm international zu den erfolgreichsten Künstlerhäusern und ist Teil eines Netzwerkes europäischer Produktionsstätten für zeitgenössischen Tanz, Performance und neue theatrale Inszenierungen. Mit internationalen Festivals wie Cutting Edge Move und Plateaux zeigt der Mousonturm zeitgenössischen Tanz und Projekte Darstellender Kunst und gibt Künstlern aus ganz unterschiedlichen Bereichen ein Forum, miteinander zu arbeiten und zu diskutieren. Seit 2006 ist im Mousonturm die Projektleitung des Tanzlabor_21 / Ein Projekt von Tanzplan Deutschland eingerichtet, in dem die drei Institutionen Künstlerhaus Mousonturm, Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt a.M. und das Institut für Angewandte Theaterwissenschaft der Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen ein gemeinsames Konzept umsetzten, das im Rahmen von Tanzplan Deutschland – einer Initiative der Kulturstiftung des Bundes – gefördert wird. Das Künstlerhaus Mousonturm gehört seit Beginn der Tanzplattform Deutschland zu den Co-Veranstaltern. |
The Künstlerhaus Mousonturm in Frankfurt a.M. opened in 1988 under the direction of Dieter Buroch in a listed expressionistic- style industrial building. Today the Mousonturm ranks internationally among the most successful art centres in Europe and is part of a network of European production sites for contemporary dance, performance and new theatrical productions. In international festivals such as Cutting Edge Move and Plateaux, the Mousonturm presents contemporary dance and performing arts projects and offers a forum for artists from diverse areas of the arts to collaborate and discuss their work. In 2006, the Mousonturm took on the project management of Tanzlabor_21/A Tanzplan Deutschland Project. Tanzlabor_21 is a joint concept conceived and implemented by the three institutions Künstlerhaus Mousonturm, Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt a.M. and the Institute for Applied Theatre Studies at the Justus-Liebig-Universität Giessen and funded as part of Tanzplan Deutschland – an initiative of the Federal Cultural Foundation. The Künstlerhaus Mousonturm is a co-organiser of the German Dance Platform since the beginning.
